Almost zero capital business ideas

Almost zero capital business ideas

I was thinking of zero capital business ideas then I realized that you need energy to start a business and since food is not free, you will need to spend.  So here are my ideas.

1.      Coin exchange

In the past small value coins were used widely. Matatus used to cost three shillings (I’m not sure what distance they covered). Bread used to cost one shilling and fifty cents. Those days are long gone. The coins however still exist. People have piles of these coins in their possession not knowing what to do with them. Some shop owners refuse to take them leaving those coins to be worthless. The central bank, however, still wants those coins. This leads to a business idea. What if you go round collecting these coins? You then charge a minimum of five shillings per transaction. Then you can charge ten percent for any transaction above fifty shillings. People will be very thankful because these coins are useless to them.

old clothes

Many people have old clothes in their wardrobes. there is a high chance many of them will never wear those clothes again. what do some do with them? they use them as dusters or they give them away for free. what business idea can be created by this knowledge? you can offer people the opportunity to sell their old clothes to you and then you resell them. you can buy them cheaply e.g 100ksh per kilo then you sell them cheaply in the market.

2.      Cow bone jewellery

A few years ago I came across this idea. It is very simple to create because the main raw material you need is cow bones. This can be easily found in restaurants and butcheries. You may need to buy the bones or you could just buy meat and ask for extra bone. Next, go online and look for tutorials on how to make cow bone jewellery. Once you are through, market your products and start selling.

3.      Straw mattress

In many urban areas, many people go to the shops to purchase mattresses. I asked myself once, what did people in days past sleep on? One answer I got was they used to make straw mattresses. It was simple to make. All you need is a sack and some straw. You put some straw in the sack, seal it, and you have something to sleep on.  This can be cheaper than the one which is store-bought.

4.      Hammock

Hammocks are used in holiday destinations as a simple way to sleep outdoors. A common way to make it is by tying a piece of cloth on two trees that a close to each other. A person can then sleep on the suspended cloth. This design is difficult to implement indoors. The solution can be to create a stand that has a base and two posts on either side. A sheet can then be tied on either side. This can be a cheaper alternative than buying a bed and mattress.
